Douglas Ferguson

President

Douglas Ferguson is an entrepreneur and human-centered technologist with over 20 years of experience. He is Founder and President of Voltage Control, an Austin-based facilitation agency that specializes in helping teams work better together through participatory decision making and design inspired facilitation techniques. He has helped transform teams from U.S. SOCOM, the Air Force, Adobe, Dropbox, Fidelity, Vrbo, Liberty Mutual, Humana, and SAIC.

 

 

Erik Skogsberg

VP of Experience

Erik helps people design lasting growth and transformation. He brings fifteen years of teaching, design, professional learning and development, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), organizational change, and research experiences from across secondary education, higher education, and industry contexts. Whether working with individuals, teams, or organizations, Erik believes that a deep empathy and caring, rooted in human-centered design, systems thinking, and futures thinking best supports clients in finding their solutions.

Over the past decade, Hassan Ghiassi has facilitated 956+ discussions that matter, with 10,000+ people, and has been established his unique approach to dialogue in the United States, Iceland, Myanmar, Mongolia, Thailand, Indonesia, and India.

Kierra Johnson

Community Manager & Social Media Coordinator

Kierra Johnson is the Community Manager & Social Media Coordinator at Voltage Control and host of our weekly meet up sessions in the Facilitation Lab. She has developed a passion for the Control The Room community and bringing innovators & facilitators together to stretch the community to new heights! [Her insight and passion for people continues to inspire her efforts for facilitation through connection and creativity with our audience.]

 

 

Annie Hodges

Facilitator

Annie loves building teams that uphold cultures of trust, resilience, and innovation. This matters for companies and organizations who are reckoning with how to move forward in a new era of work. She specialties in training professionals to be better collaborators, designing and facilitating (magical) meetings and conferences, and strategic organizational development. Currently, she’s a Workshop Facilitator at Voltage Control, a change agency that helps enterprises sustain innovation and teams to work better together with custom-designed meetings and workshops, both in-person and virtual.

 
Dawn Szombathy

Dawn Szombathy

Designer + Facilitator

Dawn brings over 10 years of graphic design experience to her work at Voltage Control. She collaborates with facilitators and clients to design user friendly experiences in MURAL for Voltage Control’s array of engagements. She especially enjoys exploring activities that foster connection, learning and growth. Dawn is currently pursuing a life closer to nature on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state.

 

Jamie LaFrenier

Executive Assistant and Operations

Jamie LaFrenier is Executive Assistant and Operations at Voltage Control where she works with the entire team to support their efforts. She is an organizational ninja and jack of all trades. Her experience in everything from sales to customer services to administrative work allows her to  focus her work in many different areas and assist where she is needed. She is also an avid lover of reading and dogs.
