Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate Community Manager who loves facilitation and is motivated to push its boundaries. You will be the beating heart of our community, responsible for nurturing its growth, fostering engagement, and ensuring it remains a vibrant space for learning and collaboration. You will lead the coordination and co-hosting of our online events and in-person meetups, as well as engage with our online community forum. You’ll report to Douglas Ferguson, our founder and CEO.
Salary & Benefits
As a full-time employee, our Community Manager will earn a salary between $70k-$110k and is elgiible for our company benefits including, health insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, and vacation plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Nurturing: You thrive on human connection you build relationships based on trust and authenticity, and you engage with members through @ messaging, loop them into relevant discussions, ask questions, and encourage them to assist others.
- Event Planning & Facilitation: You are the mastermind behind our weekly meetups and gatherings, both online and in-person. You are deeply organized, thoughtful, and creative, and enjoy both the planning and the facilitation aspects of event production
- Regional Leads: Recruit and support regional leads to foster local community engagement.
- Volunteer Coordination: Manage a team of volunteers, whether they are moderators or serve in another capacity.
- Community Curation: Monitor other facilitation and leadership communities for inspiration, mentions, and ideas that can be adapted for our community.
- Workshop Design Prompts: Create and post weekly prompts that challenge and inspire community members to design innovative workshops.
- Source Jobs and Projects: Actively source facilitation-related jobs and projects and post them on our Circle community platform. Curate submissions from community members.
- Perks Management: Administer and manage vendor discounts and other perks for community members.
- Measure Impact: Identify, track, and report on relevant community metrics, as well as propose strategies to improve on these.
Qualifications
- A deep love for and understanding of facilitation.
- Proven experience in community management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Project Management skills
- Creativity and experimental mindset
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the community's direction.
- Familiarity with Circle or similar community platforms is a plus.
